| Raised under Nazi rule during World War II, she trained extensively to be a ballerina, but instead became a world famous Hollywood actress during the 1950's and 1960's. Only making a handful of films, Audrey decided to devote herself to her children. From 1988 until her death in 1993, she served as a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador. In 1999, she was ranked as the third greatest female star of all time by the American Film Institute. |
